The Competence Interview is for CPCS Competent (blue) cardholders who earned their cards through 'grandfather rights' (pre 2003) and don't hold a relevant NVQ or SVQ.

You have been affected by this if you have renewed your blue card since January 2020 and instead of getting the full five-year card, your card had an expiry date of 31/12/2024.

To extend your card to it's original expiry date you can either complete an NVQ or simply sit a competence interview.
