Competence Interview

The competence interview is only for competent (blue) card holders that earned their CPCS card through 'Grandfather Rights', pre 2003 and who don't hold an NVQ or SVQ.
Affected cardholders, who have renewed their cards since January 2020, won't have received the full five-years instead the expiry date 31/12/2024 will have been given.
The competence interview is instead of undertaking a NVQ and it is a cheaper and quicker process.
You do NOT need an in-date health, safety & environmental test pass to do the interview.
